"The Final Monthly Stylus"
Posted: 10.05am 08.04.08
The Stylus event with Ashley Beedle on Friday 18th April 2008 will be the last monthly Stylus event for the foreseeable future. Our initial contract with One Central Street was for three months, so we have come to decision between ourselves that we won’t be extending this contract.
As much as we all enjoy promoting and DJing at the night, we feel that the time is right to take a break, as some of you will know the pressures of running a monthly night are immense, plus we all have other commitments (including getting married for one of us) so some time off to recharge the batteries is well needed and deserved.
It’s been an amazing privilege for all of us to be able to add to the musical heritage of this great city of ours and we would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has helped us out with running the night, all the DJs and artists that have played, the venues and staff we have worked with, all the other clubs and promoters around the UK that have supported and worked alongside us and to all the people that have come to the events we have done. We hope you have enjoyed it as much as we have!!!
We shall be doing a Lake of Stars fundraiser at the end of Summer, as Scott is off to play at the festival in Malawi this October, so keep checking the website and forum for updates.
It would be great to see you all at the final monthly event with Ashley Beedle, let’s all have a few drinks, get a little silly and shake our hips for Stylus!

"The 4th Offical Yellow Reunion"
Posted: 09.01am 24.03.08
This year's Yellow Reunion is going to be very special; it's the first time we've been able to bring together all three of the original Yellow DJs; Dave Haslam, Jason Boardman, and Elliot Eastwick. In addition, we have a special guest; the star of so many Southport Weekenders, Dr Bob Jones. This year (2008) we're hosting the Yellow Reunion at Mo-Ho Live. The venue has two rooms, and each of the DJs on the night will play two sets; throwing down the big Yellow classics in the main room, and showcasing a selection of hidden gems and personal favourites in the second room. You'll hear Shannon's 'Let the Music Play', Gwen McCrae, Bobby Byrd, 'Mr Big Stuff', Salsoul classics, Talkin' Loud's greatest hits, Chaka Khan, Marvin Gaye, Masters at Work, 'Let No Man Put Asunder', 'Fantasy', the Sugarhill Gang, and 'Unfinished Sympathy'. Expect queues round the block and a selection of soul-stirring tunes that'll blow you away. Visit
