Many years ago the guys behind paper recordings launched their first clubnight at the Paradise Factory in Manchester, and literally tens of people came to see Derrick Carter, Pete Heller, Jason Boardman and Moonboots join Elliot Eastwick, Miles Holloway and Ben David to try and play records and drink as much lager as possible. They did this, and it went so well that we decided to do it the following week, so they did and that's how the legend of Robodisco all began.
After a spell of an impressive four months at the paradise, Robodisco went on search for a new home, and we found it in the form of South. here, more lager was consumed and more people turned up, which was a bonus, and we welcomed to our new home the likes of Ashley Beedle, Angel Moraes and Nelson Rossado.
Then they left South, as they felt their time there was done, so off they went to new club Kaleida in the fashionable Northern Quarter area of Manchester.
When the hacienda closed the backlash towards house music (as everyone decided to pretend they were rappers) forced the closure of Robodisco.
Now, Stylus are proud to host the return of ROBODISCO for one night only...
